Who pays the stamp duty?
Like all other costs with Pluto we aim to make this as fair as possible. As a rule of thumb the investment partner will pay most of the stamp duty upfront, but you will reimburse them over time.
For example, if you purchase a property worth £100,000 and you buy 5% of it upfront, you will pay 5% of the stamp duty and your investment partner will pay 95%.
Should you decide to buy a further 2%, you will also have to pay 2% of the stamp duty as an extra. Rest assured that the stamp duty is a fixed amount paid upfront so it will not go up in value over time.
